Grooming Requirements
Puppies should wait at least two weeks after having their second vaccination; before any grooming services can commence.
Any dogs that have been recently vaccinated / received their annual boosters must wait at least two weeks after having their vaccinations, before any grooming services can commence. If any dog is not up to date with vaccinations, I understand that any illnesses / diseases contracted to the animal or owner is at the owners own risk.
Bitches in season must wait until their season has ended before any grooming services can commence. If a bitch is found to be in season and the groomer has not been notified then the groom will be terminated immediately and the full cost of the groom must still be paid.
Pregnant bitches should wait until after their pregnancy and weaning before any grooming services can commence, if their grooming service has already been pre-booked this will be terminated and the deposit will be lost.
All dogs must be fit and healthy for grooming - Please do not bring your dogs to our establishment if they are unwell; as we cannot accept sick dogs due to the risk to our own dogs and any other grooms / boarders present. E.g coughing, sneezing, sickness & diarrhea.
We are unable to accept dogs with aggression problems towards other dogs or people; subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. If any dog is showing signs of aggression the grooming service will be terminated and you must collect the dog with intimidate effect. Full payment of the service will still be required along with any damages or loss of earnings from injury.
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure all dog grooming appointments. This allows us to reserve 1:1 time for your dog's appointment and helps reduce last minute cancellations.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final cost of the groom.
Please note, if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, turn up late or do not show up to your appointment, the fee will be retained and not refunded.
To keep things running smoothly and fairly for all of our furry clients:
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment
No shows & Late Cancellations will be required to make full payment of the missed appointment; prior to making any future appointments, as we are unable to fill spaces within this time frame.
We understand that cancellations happen and are most often out of your control; however cancellations can be detrimental to a small business like ourselves and unfortunately we will not be able to survive without the above conditions in place.
Lateness
If you are late to your appointment you will not be seen; as we will be unable to carry out the service in full, we run on a 1:1 appointment basis and delays do have a knock on effect on the rest of our day, other clients, childcare and our own animals welfare needs.
If you are late to your appointment this will be classed as a missed appointment and as above, full payment will be required prior to making any future appointments.
The grooming time starts at your given appointment time and finishes at the time you collect your dog.
Matting & Poor Coat Condition
If your dog/s coat is found to be matted; an additional matted fee will apply on top of the grooming fee, the matted fee price may vary due to the severity of each case. We understand that matts can restrict the air flow and blood circulation from reaching the animals skin and revealing the animal from the matts from the matts can expose pre-existing conditions, sores, irritated skin, rashes / red marks and may even cause haematomas. I understand that the groomer is not the blame and that the all the above is a result of neglect from the owners behalf, due to lack of grooming.
Parasites
If your animal is found to be infested with parasites, such as fleas, lice, mites or ticks then an additional fee will be applied on top of the grooming fee; for the use of flea shampoo, the cost to treat the premises / any animals on the premises and for any grooms I will have to cancel any dog/s that are booked in for later that day; due to the infestation. The fee amount can vary from £20 & due to loss of earnings. Please ensure you thoroughly inspect your dog before bringing them to our establishment.
